Our "Department of Materials Science" within the "School
of Engineering" was
reorganized in April,
2001 from the former "Department of Metallurgical Engineering", which was part
of the former "Department of Applied Science". In 2008, the "Department
of
Materials Science" has celebrated its 50th anniversary of foundation.
The ceremony celebrating the
50th anniversary has been held, organized together
with the Alumni
Committee ("Kongokai" as an OB-Kai). Every graduate
student is invited to join the Kongokai as member.
Also every year during the Kengakusai Festival, there
is a meeting of graduate student at the “homecoming day”, which is usually on
3th. November.
