which are used for aircrafts in the world are manufactured in Japanese companies ?
In material science, beginning from raw metals, ceramics, and polymers up to
superconductors and electronic materials extensive knowledge and technology is acquired.
In our department the materials engineers and researchers who supports the technological
innovation of the 21st century are trained.
A goal for education in the course of this engineering department of material science is
based on this learning and the goal for education of the college of technology is not merely
confined for learning of knowledge and the technology, but also assures the so-called "
foundation of human life"- philosophy and view of life respecting the important growth and
human formation of each individual student. The "Department of Materials Science" has
became an own department after within the "School of Engineering" after reorganization
seven years ago in April, 2001 by separating from the former "Department of Metallurgical
Engineering", which was part of the former "School of Engineering, Applied Science
Department". In spite of this, the "Department of Materials Science" has this year a
tradition of 49 years since foundation. Shall we grasp the most important key technology of
the 21st century "materials technology" and develop both, problem discovery ability and
problem solution ability. All of us have dreams and goals, we will focus all our energies
towards an high-educated society of talented people like a bird rises its wings towards
heaven.
